Responsibilities
The Account Manager supports the field sales team and customers. This individual is responsible for developing an effective strategy to support new and current leads, and nurture existing accounts. They will create an effective sales process utilizing Salesforce and SAP, and improve upon operational processes. They will promote the sales and service culture through effective coaching, guidance and staff motivation, and achieves sales goals through new business sales, referrals and retention of relationships.

Applicant must be detail-oriented, and work well independently as well as in a team. You must be able to prioritize workload, be responsible for tasks, keep track of due dates and complete tasks accurately. Must have great verbal and written communication skills. and be able to communicate effectively with customers/vendors via multiple channels.

Knowledge and proficient with Microsoft Office is required. Product knowledge is taught and essential for sales roles.

Job Functions:

  • Develop and implement sales and business development strategy
  • Identify and exploit product, territory, technology and other market opportunities
  • Work with marketing to establish successful marketing programs and ensure the leads are managed to provide a strong return on investment
  • Provide seamless execution of the company’s business process and procedures that exceed customer’s expectations

Job Purpose

We seek an Applications Engineer with a passion for renewable energy to join our growing team. This role supports our product lines, sales, service operations, and customers. This individual will work closely with the sales and product teams to provide technical support on CPS products and solutions, as well as help advance the CPS product line. The ideal candidate should have detailed knowledge and experience with solar PV and energy storage technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding and knowledge of CPS America products and solutions for the North American commercial/utility solar PV and energy storage markets
  • Support sales team and customers with product and application knowledge including pre-sales engineering support and technical training
  • Remain a product expert in the industry and within the company
  • Gain and share industry insights including applicable engineering requirements, standards, regulations, and market trends
  • Develop/deliver technical presentations for customers and sales team as needed
  • Support the definition of future products and interact with R&D team to stay abreast of the company’s technology and direction

This individual will support the outside sales team and customers. They will promote our exemplary sales and service culture through effective coaching, guidance and staff motivation, and achieves sales goals through new sales, referrals and retention of relationships.

Duties and responsibilities 

Applicant must be detail-oriented and be able to work independently as well as in a team. Must be able to prioritize workload, keep track of due dates and get the job done from start to finish with accuracy. Be responsible for assigned tasks. Great verbal and written communication skills are key for this role, as well as ability to communicate clearly with customers/vendors via multiple channels. 

Proficiency with MS Office as well as Salesforce and SAP is a plus. We will train you on our products, which is essential for sales.

Job purpose

Customer Operations is responsible for product planning, fulfillment coordination, and project management with customers. The role includes coordination with internal and field sales for product forecasting and analysis to assess projected inventory and needed supply from suppliers. With customers’ procurement, logistics and project management organization, this role manages all related communications, planning and issues resolution. The role includes all order and shipment planning administration in CPS information systems such as SAP and with factory operation, logistics and warehousing resources.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Customer project management
    • Receive, review, confirm customer purchase orders and CPS delivery commitments
    • Manage delivery details such as schedules, destinations, shipment and receiving methods
    • Provide shipment documents and tracking information to customers
  • Inventory and supply planning and coordination
    • Track existing on-hand inventory with other departments in CPS (warehouse)
    • Track and review backlog of orders in hand
    • Coordinate with COPS management, executive management, product line leadership
  • Customer fulfilment execution
    • Maintain rolling shipment planning process for CPS logistics and warehousing
    • Coordinate execution with CPS logistics team
    • Ensure credit and payment hurdles are addressed before shipments
  • Order administration:
    • Prior to receiving orders, initiate and close customer credit approval process
    • Update orders in SAP to match fulfillment execution (update order details)
    • Maintain hard copy records associated with orders, terms, warranties in “PO file”
  • Data and business reporting, management
    • Analyze business as needed, backlog reports, ASP reports, CPS business history database
    • Provide sales team and management with weekly orders, revenue, customers and related reports

Job purpose

The Failure Analysis Engineer will conduct hardware failure analysis of CPS products and support the reliability and development teams. The candidate’s core responsibility will be to analyze failed samples from RMA field returns, as well as conduct accelerated testing (electrical, thermal, humidity) to understand failure mode, failure mechanism, and root cause. The FA engineer will also recommend and validate suitable corrective actions using novel testing protocols that improve the reliability of our next-generation products and energy technologies. 

Responsibilities 

  • Support for storage and inverter technologies
  • Work with product design group to identify predictive tools/information to diagnose symptoms prior to product failures
  • Analyze failed units in a timely manner (reliability and manufacturing) to find root cause and validate preventive actions, to ensure the optimum quality performance and reliability
  • Produce FA test reports (by collecting, analyzing, interpreting, summarizing, and displaying data) to be used for communicating issues and root causes to others
  • Develop innovative methods to identify critical failure modes and prevent/fix prior to new product launches
  • Support cross functional teams to perform DFMEA in early life cycle phase and recommend design changes
  • Familiarity with Commercial market segment of photovoltaics desired

Job Purpose

CPS seeks a Network Engineer with a passion for renewable energy to join our growing team. This role will support our product lines, sales, service operations, and customers. This individual will serve as the technical expert for CPS inverter data communications, the CPS FlexOM gateway and the CPS FlexOM web-based Monitoring Portal. The Network Engineer will effectively lead complex projects with a focus on advancing data communications and controls solutions for the CPS product line. The ideal candidate should have detailed knowledge and experience with data communications and control systems in the solar PV and/or energy industry and be a channel to our R&D organization for product improvement and future product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer the CPS Monitoring Portal to ensure reliability, accuracy, and performance
  • Manage and develop commercial and utilityscale data acquisition, monitoring, and controls solutions related to the PV industry
  • Act as the subject-matter expert while providing technical support for customer project applications related to CPS product communications and controls (e.g.RS485, Modbus, TCP/IP, SCADA, Sunspec, CAN, etc.)
  • Work closely with CPS R&D and Product Management to develop new and innovative customer solutions
  • Support CPS Service Engineering with training and general support
  • Provide Applications Engineering support with data communications, and controls
  • Build customer confidence and ease customer experience by answering incoming tech support calls and process issues to successful action and closure
  • Develop application notes, training material, competitive assessments, and participate in industry events, building the esteem and identity of CPS
  • Be a team player and by contributing to the organization and communicate deeply across all functions within CPS

Skills Required

  • Experience working with peripherals and communications protocols such as USB, Modbus, CAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, Wifi, Bluetooth, DNP3, A/D converters and discrete I/O
  • Working knowledge of data loggers, revenue-grade meters, and measurement equipment
  • Experience working with common lab test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers and sensors

  • Experience setting up and working with a development environment, such as firmware loading, debugging tools
