Job Purpose

The Utility & ESS Account Manager will focus specifically on the large-scale solar applications including 3 phase string inverters and accompanying ESS solutions as well. A successful account manager will be able to handle a variety of responsibilities relating to customer needs and providing excellent service. Source and secure new large-scale accounts bringing new business to CPS America while simultaneously growing existing business and accounts.

Duties and responsibilities 

  • To grow existing utility scale business and develop new buying accounts
  • Build good relationships with clients to maintain and grow existing business while simultaneously fostering new growth and accounts
  • Collecting and analyzing data concerning consumer behavior to understand changing needs
  • Communicating with clients by phone, through email and face-to-face to ensure their needs are understood and addressed

Qualifications

Job Purpose

The ideal Account Manager candidate will be responsible for driving and growing revenue for CPS America. Working to identify new customers as well as nurturing and growing existing accounts. Business Development is responsible for supporting the outside sales team and customers. This individual will be responsible for developing an effective strategy to support new, current leads and nurture existing accounts, create an effective sales process utilizing Salesforce and SAP, and improve upon broker and operational processes. They will promote the sales and service culture through effective coaching, guidance and staff motivation, and achieves sales goals through new business sales, referrals and retention of relationships.

Applicant must be detail-oriented and be able to work independently as well as in a team. Must be able to prioritize workload, keep track of due dates and get the job done from start to finish with accuracy. Be responsible for assigned tasks. Job Purpose

CPS is looking to add a ESS Field Application Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an ESS FAE, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and commissioning CPS’s C&I and utility energy storage solutions for our clients. You will play a crucial role in advancing the integration of ESS and maximizing the efficiency and reliability of PV + energy storage systems.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assess customer application needs and collaborate with sales and product teams to develop proposals encompassing CPS’s product offerings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including overseas R&D, service team, product team, EMS partners, and customers to ensure successful installation and operation of ESS projects.
  • Perform in-house or on site tests for ESS products, FWs, and EMS to ensure technical soundness.
  • Lead system commissioning activities, including installation, testing, and troubleshooting of ESS, while addressing communication, integration, and application challenges.
  • Perform troubleshooting and resolve technical issues related to CPS products; provide onsite customer support and training as needed.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including R&D teams and customers.

Skills & Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field. MS degree is preferred.

The Field Service Technician’s primary role is to support customers and field installations using Chint Power
Systems (CPS) products; typical customers include solar integrators, EPC’s, Financiers/Developers, O&M
providers and Distributors.

  • Visit customer site to repair or replace CPS inverters, trouble shoot problems relating to inverter
  • Perform commission of CPS inverters at the customer’s site

  • File reports of all service activities within CPS and for customers

Job purpose

The Hotline Support Technician/ Engineer role is to delight customer through assisting with online support and telecommunication. This is a highly impactful role, requiring a generalist’s mindset and an eagerness to learn and develop a broad expertise of CPS’s products, across the electrical, and software domains. As technical support personnel, you would be responsible for assisting customer with CPS inverters issues at site through phone and remote monitoring portal.

Responsibilities 

  • Support installers and field technicians across phone and email channels by answering common questions, troubleshooting technical issues, and resolving technical requests.
  • Provide feedback for the enhancement and development of existing products based on customer and installer input.
  • Monitor Solar sites for customer and provide regular update on the inverter error.
  • Provide response to all online open tickets on the monitoring portal.
  • Perform diagnostic activities on portal and clear the faults/ errors remotely for inverter at customer sites and assist service team.
  • Organize fleet or batch actions and coordinate service projects for customers (manage communications, organize action plans, coordinate within CPS, communicate proactively and in steady, structured way for customer resolutions – secure customer delight during such efforts)

Job Purpose

The Lab and Field Analysis Engineer’s primary role is to support the Chint Power Systems (CPS) team in diagnosing complex field and product issues on CPS PV and ESS installations across the US.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Visit customer sites to troubleshoot issues relating to PV and ESS inverter and system operation.
  • Perform various electrical tests in the laboratory to diagnose converter failure modes.
  • Work with Service and R&D teams to perform failure analysis of PV and ESS converters.
  • Remote monitoring of inverter and site issues (faults, underproduction, instability, etc).
  • Cataloging and analysis of historical performance using multiple systems (JIRA, Excel, SAP).
  • Create reports detailing inverter and site issues and communicate with sales team for distribution and
    discussion with customers.
  • Use leading edge safety practices and implement company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Masters or B.S. in Electrical Engineering from a 4-year accredited college or university. 5 years of Solar and
    inverter experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in using lab and field testing equipment: DVM, digital oscilloscope, voltage and
    current power supplies, Power Quality (PQ) meter.
  • Knowledge of programming fundamentals and common languages: C/C++/C#, Python, Matlab, etc.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Multiplexer, agile, speed and problem solving oriented, systematic, organized, eager to travel regularly and
    with short notice for sake of customer satisfaction and field portfolio performance goals.
  • Good driving record.

Desired Skills

  • Experience in PV system maintenance, operation, design, or troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge or experience of solar inverter or power converter technology.
  • Basic knowledge of ESS technology and operation.
  • Basic knowledge of serial communication devices and protocol such as RS485/RS232.

Working Environment 

  • This job requires working outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions (above 90 degrees or below 32 degrees depending on the time of year).
  • Requires working indoors in non-controlled environmental conditions.
  • Requires working in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions.
  • This role routinely uses office equipment such as a computer and phone and mechanized equipment such as pneumatic tools, hand or power tools, lifts and hoists, ladders.
